Paige Bradley uncrating at Brilliance in Color

A strong aspect of St. Augustine's signature charm is its thriving fine art community. Shortly after moving here, my mom bought a serigraph made by a Spanish artist named Royo. This was during a show being done at a Cutter & Cutter Fine Art gallery called Brilliance in Color. Royo traveled from Valencia, Spain to attend the event. The experience was an enriching one and turned out to be the beginning of a long connection to a wonderful team of professionals in the local art community.

Several years have passed since our first old city art show. We continue to be invited to collectors parties at Brilliance in Color and Galleria Del Mar, both along St. Augustine's Plaza de la Constitucion. These events are always enjoyable, offering opportunities to meet featured artists such as Josef Kote and Dean Mitchell. Visitors will find a wide range of genres from cityscapes to modern allegorism and marine to still life.

Last year, I was thrilled to purchase my first Royo serigraph - “Maria”. The piece is a modest marvel that effortlessly draws the viewer in.

I think many would be surprised to know that St. Augustine offers opportunities to attend memorable events at various art galleries outside of “first Friday” and “uptown Saturday night”. During these monthly events, galleries throughout the city open their doors and showcase pieces - often sampling wine and light snacks.

The artistically inclined will come away refreshed from a visit to one of Cutter & Cutter Fine Art's galleries.
